Cat fence topper system with overhang brackets and mesh netting East Kent

Fence topper system

Angled brackets are fitted to the top of your existing boundary fence, leaning inward into your garden. High-tensile black mesh netting is then strung across them, creating an overhead barrier that cats simply cannot climb or scale over.

This is the most secure option and works with most standard timber fences. The black mesh is discreet and blends into the background, making it barely visible from a distance.

Best for

Gardens with existing secure 5–6ft boundary fences where you want maximum security without building a new structure.

Cat proof roller fencing system East Kent

Roller & paddle systems

Freewheeling rotating paddles are mounted along the top edge of your fence. When a cat jumps up and tries to grip the top, the roller spins freely — denying them the traction needed to pull themselves over.

A more discreet, minimalist option that doesn’t use overhead netting and maintains your garden views. Clean lines and a neat finish that suits modern gardens.

Best for

A minimalist aesthetic that doesn’t block your view or require large overhead netting — ideal where garden appearance matters.

Cat fencing FAQs

Will cat fencing work on my existing fence?

In most cases yes. Both conversion kits and roller systems can be fitted to standard timber boundary fences. We’ll assess your existing fence during the free site visit and advise on the best approach. If your fence needs repair or replacement first, we can handle that too.

How high does my fence need to be?

For conversion kits with overhang brackets, your existing fence should ideally be at least 5–6ft. For roller systems, they work at lower heights too as the spinning mechanism prevents grip regardless of height.

Will it affect the look of my garden?

Both systems are designed to be discreet. The black mesh on conversion kits blends into the background and is barely visible from a distance. Roller systems sit neatly along the top of the fence line with a minimal profile.

Do you cover the whole of East Kent?

Yes — we cover Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Faversham, Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Deal, Sandwich, Folkestone and all surrounding areas.

How much does cat fencing cost?

Cost depends on the length of your fence line and which system you choose. We provide free, no-obligation written quotes after visiting your garden — get in touch to arrange yours.
